Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen
Your tour begins with a pick-up from Tangier. Travel through the beautiful Rif Mountains toward the famous blue city of Chefchaouen. Spend the afternoon exploring the charming blue-painted streets, the old medina, and scenic viewpoints. Overnight stay in a traditional riad in Chefchaouen.
Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
After breakfast, depart Chefchaouen and head to the Roman ruins of Volubilis where you can explore the well-preserved mosaics and ancient structures. Continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, to visit Bab Mansour and the historic medina before traveling to Fes for an overnight stay in a riad.
Day 3: Guided Tour of Fes
Today you will explore the fascinating city of Fes with a local guide. Visit the ancient medina of Fes El Bali, the Al Quaraouiyine University, the famous leather tanneries, and the traditional souks. Discover the rich history and culture of Morocco’s oldest imperial city before returning to your riad.
Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
Leave Fes and travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, often called the Switzerland of Morocco, and visit the cedar forests near Azrou where Barbary monkeys live. Continue through the scenic Ziz Valley before arriving in Merzouga near the dunes of the Sahara Desert.
Day 5: Merzouga – Desert Exploration – Camel Trek – Sahara Camp
Spend the morning exploring the Merzouga desert region and visiting local nomad families. In the afternoon, enjoy a camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi while watching the sunset. Arrive at your desert camp where you will enjoy dinner, traditional Berber music, and a magical night under the stars.
Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
Wake up early to admire the sunrise over the dunes before leaving the desert. Visit the traditional market in Rissani and continue to the spectacular Todra Gorge where you can walk between towering canyon walls. Later travel to the beautiful Dades Valley for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Dades Valley – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech
After breakfast, travel through the Valley of Roses and visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass before arriving in Marrakech where your tour ends.
