Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat
Your tour begins with a pick-up from Casablanca. Visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. Afterward, travel to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where you will visit the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Udayas. Overnight stay in Rabat.
Day 2: Rabat – Chefchaouen
After breakfast, travel north through the Rif Mountains toward the beautiful blue city of Chefchaouen. Spend the afternoon exploring the charming blue streets, local markets, and peaceful atmosphere of this unique town. Overnight stay in Chefchaouen.
Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
Leave Chefchaouen and visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, where you will visit the famous Bab Mansour gate and the old medina. Later travel to Fes for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Guided Tour of Fes
Today you will explore the historic city of Fes with a local guide. Visit the famous Fes Medina, Al Quaraouiyine University, the traditional tanneries, and the beautiful Islamic schools. Discover the vibrant souks and hidden corners of this ancient city.
Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
Depart from Fes and travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane and the cedar forests near Azrou where Barbary macaques live. Continue through the beautiful Ziz Valley before arriving in Merzouga near the Sahara Desert.
Day 6: Merzouga – Camel Trek – Sahara Desert Camp
Spend the morning exploring the Merzouga region. In the afternoon, enjoy a camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Watch the sunset over the Sahara before arriving at your desert camp where you will enjoy dinner, Berber music, and a magical night under the stars.
Day 7: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
Wake up early to admire the sunrise over the dunes before leaving the desert. Visit the traditional market in Rissani and continue to the impressive Todra Gorge where you can walk between towering canyon walls. Continue to Dades Valley for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Dades Valley – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech
After breakfast, travel through the Valley of Roses and continue to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass before arriving in Marrakech.
Day 9: Guided Tour of Marrakech
Spend the day exploring Marrakech with a local guide. Visit the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Explore the colorful souks before the tour ends in Marrakech.
