5 days Desert tour from Tangier to Marrakech

Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen

Your journey begins with a pick-up from Tangier. Travel through the beautiful Rif Mountains toward the charming blue city of Chefchaouen. Spend the afternoon exploring the peaceful medina, blue streets, and scenic viewpoints. Overnight stay in Chefchaouen.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, leave Chefchaouen and visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, where you will visit Bab Mansour and the old medina. Later travel to Fes for an overnight stay in a traditional riad.

Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Depart from Fes and travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane and the cedar forests near Azrou where Barbary macaques live. Continue through the scenic Ziz Valley before arriving in Merzouga near the Sahara Desert dunes.

Day 4: Merzouga – Camel Trek – Sahara Desert Camp

Spend the morning exploring the Merzouga desert area. In the afternoon, enjoy a camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi and watch the spectacular sunset. Continue to your Sahara desert camp where you will enjoy dinner, traditional Berber music, and a magical night under the stars.

Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Wake up early to admire the sunrise over the dunes before leaving the desert. Visit the traditional market in Rissani and continue to Todra Gorge where you can walk between towering canyon walls. Later visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou before crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass and arriving in Marrakech where the tour ends.
